
We are excited to announce the new co-chairs of our Committee on the Environment, Seth Trance, AIA and Cameron Guthrie, Associate AIA. Deeply passionate about sustainability, resiliency, and the role architects play in addressing climate challenges, they bring both vision and action to this work. Their leadership will help advance environmentally responsible design practices across our profession and our community. We’re thrilled to have them guiding COTE’s efforts in the year ahead.
Cameron Guthrie, Assoc. AIA is an environmentally conscious creative from Columbus, Ohio, Project Captain II / Sustainability Specialist at MA Design, Graduate of The Ohio State University, and the President of NOMAColumbus. His role as Project Captain II has garnered numerous commercial, workplace, and multifamily projects across the Midwest and beyond. As a Sustainability Specialist, he expands offerings and integrates sustainable practices into standard workflows at his firm. He strives to provide structure that scales impact, foster new connections, and cultivate new ways for COTE to engage with the sustainability community at large. Â
Seth Trance, AIAÂ is the founder and architect of Latus Studio in the Clintonville neighborhood of Columbus and a graduate of Syracuse University. His work focuses on thoughtful, sustainable, and community-centered architecture, integrating environmental stewardship throughout the design process. Seth is passionate about advancing resilient, high-performing design solutions that are both technically rigorous and human in scale. As Co-Chair of the Committee on the Environment (COTE) for AIA Columbus, he looks forward to fostering dialogue and supporting initiatives that elevate environmental performance across the profession.
