AIA Columbus and NOMA Columbus are partnering for the 4th year to provide Architectural activities at Columbus Arts Festival’s Kids Hands-On Activities Village in front of COSI on Fri-Sun, June 12-14, 2026!
We volunteer as professionals to engage with children and adults of all ages about Architecture. Returning again this year is the pool noodle activity where kids can build colorful structures on the lawn. NOMA will have their color-and-cut-out building activity and we will have coloring pages and informational takeaways on Architecture Camps and what an Architect does. We appreciate all the volunteers who have participated in past years and look forward to your help again. If you enjoy talking about Architecture and engaging with all ages we would love your help. We have broken up the days into 2+ hour time slots. Please consider donating some of your time and signing up. We would love to see mixed groups of AIA and NOMA volunteers working together.
We are excited for this opportunity to bring our organizations together. If you are able please join us for a Volunteer get-together/orientation at Little Grand the Saturday before the Arts Festival June 6, 2-4pm. Snacks will be provided.
Volunteers will receive an AIA/NOMA themed item (TBD – we are hoping for visors) to wear and keep for future events.

If you are not able to volunteer for a time slot, but would like to donate supplies, any smaller architectural models (that are not too delicate and would not be returned), snacks for volunteers, etc. please contact Elizabeth Rajala at [email protected].
