Celebrating Architecture at the 2025 Columbus Arts Festival

AIA Columbus and NOMAColumbus returned to the Columbus Arts Festival this June with an energetic presence in the Kids Activities Village, hosting a hands-on architecture tent from Friday, June 6 to Sunday, June 8. This annual partnership brings architecture to life for hundreds of families, offering a space where creativity, design thinking, and collaboration take center stage.

Over the course of the weekend, more than 800 visitors—children, parents, and curious festival-goers—stopped by to build, draw, and imagine. From large-scale collaborative structures to smaller take-home creations, the tent buzzed with activity and inspiration. Volunteers from both organizations guided participants through fun, interactive experiences that introduced basic architectural principles in a playful and accessible way.

Thank you to all the volunteers who made this year’s festival a success. A special thank you to Aimée Moore, Elizabeth Rajala, Bill Cody, Cameron Guthrie, and NOMAColumbus. We’re proud to be part of an event that connects the public with the power of design in such a vibrant, hands-on way.
