On June 20, 2026, members of AIA Columbus, IIDA, and NOMA Columbus gathered along the streets of downtown Columbus, united by a shared commitment to inclusion, design, and community. Showing off the fun and fantastic models made by design firms around Columbus, the three organizations proudly joined the Stonewall Columbus Pride March.
As the procession moved forward, architects, interior designers, students, and allied professionals walked side by side, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and the diversity that strengthens the design profession. Spectators cheered from the sidewalks while marchers waved flags and connected with friends, colleagues, and neighbors.
For AIA Columbus, IIDA, and NOMA Columbus, the march was more than a parade—it was a visible expression of their commitment to creating welcoming spaces, equitable opportunities, and a profession where everyone can thrive. Together, they demonstrated that design is not only about buildings and interiors, but also about fostering communities where all people are seen, valued, and supported.
Thank you to the sponsors, LOTH, KLH Engineers, King Business Interiors, Tim O’Neil & Associates, The Davis Group, MA Design, and SSOE for making this possible for the architects and designers to show up for the community. A special thank you to SSOE, MA Design, Team Kaleidoscope, The Collaborative + Acock, BBCO, Schooley Caldwell, Legat Architects, and Berardi + Partners for making the models to decorate the 2026 pride float.
