High School Design Workshop

The AIA Columbus Emerging Professionals committee joined The Center for Architecture and Design and the Knowlton School to host a free design workshop for high school students interested in architecture and design as a possible career.  Design professionals and OSU students introduced participants to various design fields and helped them ideate, conceptualize, and present solutions to an open-ended challenge.  Through the two-day workshop, students toured the Knowlton School of Architecture, completed sketching exercises, created renderings in the computer lab, and built models of a community center.  The event concluded with students presenting their projects to their peers and families.
