Presented by Committee on Design

Join AIA Columbus for a presentation on Buck Mason SoHo, recipient of a 2025 AIA Columbus Architecture Award, exploring how interior architecture can reinforce brand identity while honoring the character of a historic building.

Designed as an extension of the Buck Mason brand story, the space layers retail, furnished lounges, and a coffee shop to create a welcoming environment that encourages discovery and connection. The design restores natural light by uncovering existing windows, reconnecting the interior to its historic envelope.

A single material—antique reclaimed hemlock—unifies the millwork, staircase, and fixtures, creating warmth, continuity, and a refined material palette.

In this session, the design team will share insights into the project’s material strategy, daylighting approach, and detailed execution, demonstrating how thoughtful restraint can create a cohesive and memorable retail experience.

The Design Architect is Greg Dutton Studio.
